Technical Sales Engineer

Desalytics provides water quality, water disinfection, water treatment consumables, equipment, and associated services in sub-Saharan Africa.
We are a go-to-market channel for select brands through customer-centric in-country acquired subsidiaries or startups.
Our products help municipal and industrial customers produce reliable water, optimize processes, attain net-zero, and maximize returns through expertise technology.
The Sales Engineer is responsible for actively promoting the company’s solutions for municipal and/or industrial applications, which drive significant impact to the organization. Cameroon's water industry is growing in the coming years, and Desalytics needs enthusiastic talent to be part of our growth journey.We offer both an inspiring and challenging position in an open, friendly, and international environment where we help each other to develop and create value for our customers.
Missions / Responsibilities / Activities
  • Proactively create and follow up on new and existing business opportunities.
  • Selling products and services using solid arguments to prospective customers.
  • Analyze and create a work plan for engaging the target market
  • Work with customers to find what they want, create solutions and ensure a smooth sales process.
  • Presenting and communicating new products to existing and prospective clients.
  • Demonstrating using various lab and online equipment and providing after-sales services to clients to build lasting relationships.
  • Budgeting of sales and marketing activities.
  • Schedule appointments and meetings as necessary, and prepare quotes, receipts, and delivery notes.
  • Deliver orders and follow up on payments.
  • Adhere to stipulated sales targets, write reports, and constantly update the Sales manager on all activities and projects.
  •  Enter and Update opportunities in HUBSPOT or other ERP and any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Job Requirements
  • Candidates should have 2 years of experience working in the water industry.
  • A degree in Analytical Chemistry, Environment Sciences, or Water Engineering. Alternate degrees or work experiences will be considered.
  • Proficiency in English and French with excellent and flawless written communication skills
  • Must have a valid driving license and be willing and able to travel within the region.
  • Positive attitude, detail, and customer oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability
