We are looking for anexperienced Data Project Manager and Country Lead.
Start date: October 1st 2023.
Location: Yaoundé, Cameroon. You will be expected to travel to countries where we have active projects (mainly in Sub-Saharan Africa).

Missions / Responsabilités / Activités
Project management
- Identify the project’s operational and financial requirements
- Provide clear roadmaps aligned with the contract and expected deliverable
- Monitor the project’s budget, deliverables and deadlines
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders in the country, ensuring their needs are met
- Lead the regular communication with clients
- Lead the communication with local authorities and partners (MoH, programs, NGOs, agencies) to anchor our projects in the countries’ data environment and strategy
- Analyze the project’s functional and technical requirements: you will need to understand the issues faced by users and how our solutions meet their needs
- Provide clear technical recommendations and roadmaps
- Plan and monitor the technical implementation internally, lead iterative improvements of Bluesquare tools, prioritize tasks and manage risks
- Contribute the technical implementation of our tools
- Write technical reports, guidelines, articles and other materials to communicate with our partners and a wider audience
- Work in close collaboration with the head office technical teams
- Make sure we deliver high quality tools: from data processing to visualization
- Make sure clients are satisfied
- Make sure clients are trained properly
- Make sure tools are well used
- Contribute to the elaboration of new technical proposals
- Connect with new potential partners and present our solutions in conferences
- Develop and manage an in-country team for in-country project delivery, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and teamwork across all functions and projects.
- Administrative management of the country office and staff.
- Contribute to Bluesquare’s products, processes, procedures and tools (product roadmap, user manual, training material, etc.) based on ongoing client needs analysis
- Contribute to the company visibility/networking on health data science and Bluesquare visibility (blogs, product descriptions, events)
Compétences / Exigences / Qualités
- Master degree in Engineering, statistics or economics
- Experience with data analysis and reporting
- Working knowledge of data visualization tools and software
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- At least 10 years experience working in managing complex projects
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English
- Experience with DHIS2 and ODK is a plus
- Working experience in Africa, Asia or Latin America is a plus
- Working experience in Global health, Health financing or Monitoring and Evaluation in another sector a plus
- Notion of GIS
- Ability to work autonomously
- Team player with good interpersonal skills
- Creative thinking
- Clear and structured communication
