1. Support in recruitment and placement
- Works closely with hiring managers to prepares and circulates vacancy advertisements.
 - Liaises with candidates in the various stages of the recruitment process, with specific focus on supporting scheduling of technical testing and interviews.
 - Prepares formal pre- offer and liaises with GSSC related to offers and onboarding.
 - Records and maintains recruitment files, ensuring all necessary documentation has been uploaded through TMS.
 - Monitors life-cycle of recruitment process to update panel members as necessary.
 
- Support onboarding staff to join UNICEF Cameroon is the smoothest manner possible – supporting but not limited to onboarding tasks with GSSC, liaison for visa and travel formalities, advise on related entitlements related to onboarding.
 - Proactively identify and elevate possible bottlenecks related to onboarding.
 - Support staff by issuing required documentation related to confirmation of employment with UNICEF Cameroon.
 - Manage and monitor FWA with staff and managers to ensure correct information is inserted into the system and entitlements correctly processed.
 - Ensure appropriate early action is taken for offboarding to effectively support staff
 
- Initiates the processing of a wide range of personnel actions in accordance with UNICEF rules and regulations, by ensuring all relevant forms and actions are completed by staff and forwarded to the GSSC.
 - In consultation with supervisors, analyze, research, and verify information for the purpose of responding to staff queries on areas related to benefits and entitlements.
 - Statistics maintenance and issuance of reports (PERs, development plans, leave, gender, geo balance, staff lists, etc.) and organograms;
 - Maintains all personnel-related records and files, ensuring relevant information are up-to-date and accurate.
 
- Be enrolled in a graduate or Ph.D. degree programme in HR Management or have graduated within the past two years.
 - Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
 - Be proficient in English and French.
 - Have excellent academic performance as demonstrated by recent university or institution records.
 - Have no immediate relatives (e.g. father, mother, brother, sister) working in any UNICEF office; and
 - Have no other relatives in the line of authority which the intern will report to.
 - Residing in Cameroon.
 - Familiarity with digital marketing, digital spaces for outreach, recruitment, or job search.
 - Solid overall computer literacy also in using digital platforms/ applications for project management.
 - Attention to detail, sound judgement and discreet.
 - At least one year's previous professional experience.
 - Accuracy and professionalism in document production and editing.
 - Excellent interpersonal skills, culturally and social sensitive.
 - Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in challenging environment and in multicultural team of international professionals.
 - Self-motivated and ability to work with tight deadline.
 - Consideration will be given to candidates with disabilities.
 - Have never completed an internship at the Cameroon office.
