Description
The delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross for Central Africain Yaoundé is looking for one (01) qualified candidate to strengthen the team of the "Logistic" departrnent, as indicated below:
  • Position: Logistics Site Manager (H/F)
  • Location: Bamenda
  • Type of Contract: 12 months (Offer reserved exclusively for Camerconians)
  • Starting Date: As soon as possible
Missions / Responsibilities / Activities
Responsibilities 
  • Sets up, adapts and maintains infrastructure according to needs, in collaboration with the Logistics Country Manager;
  • Is responsible for implementng loglstics procedures on-site in accordante witi friancial procedures and the logistics strategy for eie country;
  • Maintains and ensures proper use of genetsl and specialized togistics IT tacts;
  • Oversees and cocrdinates statistical reporting. queries and inventories;
  • Manages supply-chain requests and ensures they are treated in a timely fashion; supervises custorner desk service and carnes out related reporting, l'aises with clients regarding demand dosing;
  • Plans and executes procurement activities, depending on the file and value coordinates with the Delegation (purchase crders, supplier files, sourcing, etc.), creates electronic files in the system;
  • Sets up. operates and manages warehouse and stock inventory. executes yearly inventory count;
  • Is in charge of fteet management, transport anc distnbution activities; closely follows up and Plaises fleet maintenance activities with the Delegation; 
  • Is in charge of preparing and coordinating movement plan for the Subdelegations together with the Management;
  • Follows up on the supply pipeline with the Delegation, including for import-export activities where necessary;
  • Supply-chain management and planning (manages and kollows Jp on requests, provides customer desk service and carries out related reporting),
  • Is in charge of capacity-building and HR-related matters for logistics on site;
  • Is responsible for managing finances for the cost centres} under their responsibility;
  • Ensures that risks are mitigated by performing the controls assigned to histher role as described in tne Logistics Risk and Control Matrix;
  • Trains ICRC staff in logistics procedures in the sub delegation.
Job Requirements
Required knowledge and experience.
  • Master in Logistics and Transport or International Trade or other re:evant training
  • At least 4 years of professional experience in commercial, military or humanitarian logistics with superiision of medium-sized teams.
  • Good negotiation and communication skills;
  • Good command (oral and written) of English; And good knowledge of French and Pidgin;
  • Excellent IT skills, including knowledge of specialized software:
  • Field experience in an international organization would be an asset
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team;
  • Ability to work within operational priorities and procedures; Ability to work independ
  • Excellent knowledge of the North-West and security contexts;
  • Ability to listen, autonomy, organizational skills, rigor, honesty and integrity;
  • Team spirit, ability to acapt and learn
