Job Title: Construction Project Manager (Phase 1 – Elysian Heights Residential Estate)
Location: Limbe, Cameroon
Contract Type: 1-year contract (with possibility of extension based on performance and project outcome)
Project: Elysian Heights Residential Estate (Phase 1)
Job Overview:
CFB Holding Ltd is seeking a highly experienced Construction Project Manager to lead the development of Phase 1 of the Elysian Heights Residential Estate in Limbe, Cameroon. This is a gated community focused on lifestyle living, targeting mid to high-income Cameroonians, expatriates, and investors. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing all construction activities, managing resources, and ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Missions / Responsibilities / Activities
  • Lead and manage the construction of Phase 1 of the Elysian Heights Residential Estate, which includes 10-20 housing units, roads, utilities, and other infrastructure development.
  • Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure on-time delivery of the project.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth progress and adherence to design and quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety, and address any issues or delays proactively.
  • Provide regular progress reports to senior management and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead risk assessment and mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely availability.
  • Foster strong relationships with local authorities, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure that the construction meets the standards of a gated community, including infrastructure design and execution.
  • Prepare project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management, with specific experience in gated communities and infrastructure development.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale residential or mixed-use developments from start to finish.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, architects, and government officials.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction standards, safety regulations, and local building codes in Cameroon or similar contexts.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to relocate to Limbe, Cameroon for the duration of the contract.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and in a dynamic construction environment.
  • Flexibility to extend the contract based on performance and project needs.
