Missions / Responsabilités / Activités
RESPONSIBILITIES
Key DeliverablesThe Manager - Payments & Wallets will be accountable to achieve the following objectives:Strategy Implementation
  • Abide by and execute the functional strategy cascaded by the functional lead.
  • Assist in review of the functional strategy and roadmap, in collaboration with the Team lead, to ensure its alignment with the changing dynamics of the internal and external ecosystem.
Operational DeliveryFunctional Leadership
  • Monitor and align the direction, strategy, and outcomes of the vertical, both collectively and within individual work areas in MMC, ensuring strict adherence to Group guidelines.
  • Lead and deploy integrated solution development and problem-solving approaches across the function.
  • Assess and report the impact and benefits of the sub-function to MMC and Group FinCo, providing accurate value metrics. Promote ongoing improvement across all verticals.
  • Generate visibility for the true-value contributions of the sub-function within Group FinCo and MMC to drive greater service acceptance and adoption.
  • Identify opportunities for new product enhancements across payments & wallet streams to keep MMC at the digital forefront of mobile Application innovations.
  • Deliver, supervise, and manage inhouse & third-party MMC Products and Services.
  • Play a key stakeholder role across different cross-functional teams involved in developing and managing new and existing payments & wallet products.
  • Develop and present user requirements, specifications, product roadmaps, product positioning documents and services roadmap for payments and wallet related apps.
  • Oversee documentation of any unexpected anomalies identified in testing with instruction of how to recreate the anomaly.
  • Develop and document application test plans based on the requirements and technical specifications.
  • Ensure that no release disrupts business as usual.
Delivery Leadership
  • Lead strategy, analytics, budgeting activities for the sub-function
  • Implement and oversee execution of policies, procedures and guidelines set forth by Product & Services team and ensure team complies with the same
  • Implement a governance model to manage the consolidated sub-functional strategy, budgets, and financials, with guidance from Chief Product Officer
  • Cascade the Group Fintech budget, analytics, and reporting framework for the sub-function, in collaboration with the Chief Product Officer
 Payments & Business Operations
  • Cascade the product strategy from the Group Finco and build an MMC customized product roadmap for the segment
  •  Lead the development of the payment strategy in line with overarching divisional goals with emphasis on client experience to deliver growth of merchant ecosystem and mobile payment usages
  • Cascade payments solutions designed in the group to MMC and provide inputs for localization
  • Oversee design of loyalty solutions and schemes to support the growth of mobile payment
  • Provide inputs into customization / localization of Mobile payment solutions and products to support various business segments’ requirements
  • Deploy solutions to cover the maximum number of payments use cases
  • Ensure payment solutions deliver the best user experience and value to every key stakeholder of the payment ecosystem
  • Develop solutions and operational framework to drive growth of both digital and physical merchant ecosystem
  • Manage and resolve escalations that have impact on critical path of service delivery
  • Develop an operational playbook to drive mobile payment and provide strategic guidance for its implementation
  • Oversee the implementation of payment and wallet solutions for new products
  • Support to develop and maintain the best value proposition to both consumers and merchants, in collaboration with the Commercial Operations team
  • Review and identify key risks, issues, and dependencies and set mitigation actions
  • Leverage on analytics, mobile data, and mobile advertising to develop fit for purpose payment solutions
  • Work closely with the other teams within MMC and support functions to optimize the revenue generation opportunity and demonstrate strong ROI
  • Provide input into the development and implementation of short term and long-term sales plans for the organization
  • Analyze organizational dynamics with the prospective customer and develop the most effective products and solutions
  • Proactively research and leverage emerging technologies to improve high volume product journeys and overall MoMo payments & wallet Products UI/UX
  • Execute other tasks and duties, as assigned
MoMo Apps
  • Support the Channel & Commercial, CVM and BI teams, for developing strategies for the MoMoApp application
  • Cascade global design blueprints for MoMoApp and localize the plans to enable consistent user experience
  • Monitor MoMoApp’s technical performance, i.e., uptime, penetration, and usage, and provide periodic reports to appropriate stakeholders
  • Monitor periodic release of local configurations, upgrades, and updates to the application
  • Manage and maintain local instances of the application
  • Provide L2 query/incident resolution and escalate all other issues to management & the group
  • Support the group in MoMoApp development, as and when required
  • Execute other tasks and duties, as assigned
Strategy & Analytics, Budgeting, Data and Reporting
  • Implement and execute policies, procedures and guidelines cascaded by the functional lead 
  • Comply with the set governance mechanisms, under supervision from the functional lead 
  • Cascade the Group Fintech budget, analytics, and reporting frameworks to the sub-function, as directed by the Chief Product Officer 
  • Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of product strategies and provide suggestions for improvement
Product Operations
  • Work closely with Chief Product Officer to develop and deploy product roadmap in MMC, in line with the overall Group strategy, and ensure appropriate prioritization of projects is undertaken
  • Conduct extensive market research and formulate user stories for solution optimization
  • Customize group provided product design in line with MMC specific local nuances and obtain required signoffs from higher management
  • Benchmark best practices in the market, prepare business case and present it to senior management
  • Benchmark regional and industry best practices and conduct extensive research to identify appropriate pricing for products. Develop proposals to align product pricing as per market standards
  • Monitor revenue and cost for the product portfolio to maintain profitability as per organization strategy and business plan
  • Collaborate with the CVM to develop & analyse loyalty/reward programs and manage the loyalty program operations (including reward transactions)
  • Research and analyse customer behaviour in specific geography to design loyalty rewards, in line with the overarching guidelines set by Group
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to identify potential strategic partners to drive the rewards program
  • Manage promotional calendar with third party services to boost sales growth for the business
  • Use relevant metrics and measures to monitor existing loyalty & reward programs
  • Gather customer feedback on product performance and relay to the group product teams, in a bid to improve product performance
  • Manage day-to-day product operations and establish internal best practices to ensure effective utilization of the products
  • Strengthen customer feedback loops, and scale product knowledge within MMC
  • Manage product service quality to ensure seamless customer experience
  • Monitor and analyse traffic loads and capacity within the county's systems and platforms
  • Capture Voice of Customer through CSAT surveys, product reviews, complaints etc.
Compétences / Exigences / Qualités
Education:
  • A 4-year degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Commerce, or a related field 
  • MBA/master’s will be advantageous
Experience:
  • Minimum 4 to 6 years relevant experience in a similar position with at least 2 years in a managerial role
  • Experience in E-commerce, Fintech, banking is preferred 
  • Experience working in a global/multinational enterprise with a good understanding emerging markets is preferred
