JOB PROFILE
  • Position Title: Technical Business Operations Lead
  • Reporting Line: Founder Principal Consultant
  • Location: Douala, Cameroon
  • Type: Full-time | Hybrid

Compensation Suggestion
  • Salary: 200,000–250,000 FCFA per month.

Missions / Responsibilities / Activities
Core Purpose of the Role
To take full operational ownership of the business backend, proactively manage client engagements, standardize delivery processes, and coordinate training and technical documentation freeing the founder to focus on vision, client relationships, and strategic growth.This is a hybrid role that blends technical coordination, business operations, and client-facing professionalism. It is ideal for someone who understands the unique nature of a small, high-impact consultancy and who thrives in creating structures out of complexity.
Key Result Areas (KRAs)
Business Operations & Workflow Management (35%)
  • Establish and manage predictable weekly workflows (training calendar, client meetings, field visits).
  • Develop SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for risk assessments, report production, and training delivery.
  • Ensure the founder is never bottlenecked by tasks that could have been anticipated or handled by the team.
Client Relationship & Engagement Coordination (20%)
  • Serve as the founder’s proxy in client follow-ups, scheduling, and project coordination.
  • Draft professional proposals, reports, and correspondence using templates and tools provided.
  • Track all client engagements from inquiry to delivery and post-engagement reporting.
Training Support & Technical Documentation (20%)
  • Help structure technical training sessions (schedules, materials, checklists).
  • Co-facilitate or assist in delivering sessions when needed (especially practical or safety modules).
  • Standardize all reports into clean, reusable templates.
Marketing & Business Development Support (15%)
  • Coordinate basic marketing activities (website content updates, training brochures, LinkedIn/email outreach).
  • Keep a pipeline of prospects warm with regular value-driven communication.
  • Help the company “look bigger than it is” with clean, strategic presentation.
Office & Administrative Excellence (10%)
  • Maintain the professional atmosphere of the office: signage, client-ready setup, equipment, and documentation.
  • Manage inventory, documentation, digital filing, and operational housekeeping.
Job Requirements

  • Working knowledge of electrical engineering (not to expert level, but enough to support and coordinate).
  • Strong administrative systems thinker: can build workflows, improve processes, track timelines.
  • Excellent business writing and formatting skills: reports, proposals, emails, presentations.
  • Able to represent the company with professional confidence.

Minimum Requirements
  • HND/BTS or higher in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Systems.
  • 2–5 years’ experience in a coordination or support role within a technical, engineering, or training environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Canva, and Google Workspace.
  • High fluency in French and professional working ability in English.
Optional but Desirable
  • Experience working with training institutions, technical colleges, or regulatory audits.
  • Experience in marketing support or business development in a service-based company.
  • Familiarity with Cameroon’s electrical safety standards or client ecosystems.
