Société Ruula is a VAS (Value-Added Service) provider licensed by the telecommunication regulatory board of Cameroon, specialized in digital entertainment content acquisition and distribution with mobile network operators. It is the leading aggregator of local and international music contents for caller ring-back tone service with MTN and Orange Cameroon.

Missions / Responsabilités / Activités
Mission:
The business development officer will be in charge of Identifying and onboarding music contents from copyright license owners and holders, pitching our offer to potential content providers and convert them, managing relationship with existing CPs, coordinate content ingestion and production of promotion visuals.
Responsibilities:
  • Identify, onboard and manage content providers.
  • Pitch our service offer to potential music content providers either online or in-person, and convert them to CPs.
  • Draft content acquisition documents such as contracts, content additions, power of attorney and e-mail them to respective content providers.
  • Ensure an up-to-date, relevant and accurate information in the license management database.
  • Coordinate the ingestion & validation of new content.
  • Coordinate the production of promotion banners of ingested contents and deliver to content providers.
  • Manage relationship with digital content platform providers.
  • Track and archive proofs of download banners published by content suppliers.
  • Provide professional support to new and existing content providers.
Compétences / Exigences / Qualités
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business development, Sales, Management, Marketing, Business Administration, Law, Communication or any related field.
Work Experience:
  • At least 2 years experience as a business developer or sales professional for B2C & B2B markets.
  • At least 2 years experience working in a corporate environment.
  • Work experience in a music distribution company is a plus.
Knowledge & skills:
  • Knowledge of music content licensing and royalties.
  • Basic knowledge of telecom value-added service platforms.
  • knowledge of digital music distribution.
  • Be a computer and internet literate.
  • Farmiliarity with audio editing softwares such as Goldwave or Adobe audition.
  • Understanding of content formats, licensing terms, metadata management.
  • Proficient in negotiation, sales and managing contracts.
  • Familiarity with operations of CMS softwares.
  • Effective communication.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Good at relationship building
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Bilingual ( French and English )
