- Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials, ensuring quantity and quality accuracy against delivery notes and purchase orders.
- Maintain a well-organized and clean warehouse that enables easy identification and retrieval of materials.
- Issue materials based on approved requisitions and update stock records immediately after every transaction.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile variances with the Chief Storekeeper and/or with the Head of Logistics department.
- Monitor stock levels and alert Site Supervisor of low stock or potential shortages.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of materials, tools, and equipment to minimize damage or loss.
- Prepare daily (stock sheet), weekly (entries and exits), and monthly stock (end of month inventory) reports for the department. Enforce safety and security measures within the warehouse premises
- Physically fit and able to handle warehouse activities and outdoor work.
- Honest, disciplined, and respectful
- Punctual and dependable.
- Safety-conscious with a sense of responsibility for both materials and personnel.
- Neat and orderly in appearance and work habits.
- Willingness to work beyond normal hours when required, especially during project deadlines.
- Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Transport and Logistics, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Experience: At least 1 year of relevant experience in warehouse/storekeeping operations, preferably within a construction or engineering company
