- You will formulate the airfreight operations strategy in line with the country’s business strategy and requirements, as well as global guidelines and policies.
- You will lead the planning and implementation of airfreight operations plans, measures, and budgets to achieve operational results, driving profitability, volume growth, and service expansion.
- You will develop plans, organize, and control large country projects and initiatives to provide fast, reliable, efficient, and cost-effective airfreight operations solutions.
- You will lead effective airfreight operations management through end-to-end capacity management, optimization of network procurement, implementation of consolidation opportunities, etc.
- You will oversee and take decisions related to operation sites, procurement of capacity, technical support (buying, capacity, etc.), and local purchasing in the country according to global policy.
- You will monitor and act on preferred carrier usage and related incentive deals within the country.
- You will steer market profiling and customer/competitor research and analysis activities to identify opportunities and challenges.
- You will define effective pricing strategies to sustain profitable growth and guide the identification and implementation of new products within the country, while providing input on solution design and service elements.
- You will liaise with sales teams to support interactions with key customers, providing pricing and margin guidance, and supporting bids, RFQs, and customer presentations.
- You will set and monitor the implementation of compliance standards, procedures, and specifications for the country in line with global guidelines.
- You will benchmark and embed best-in-class infrastructure and practices for airfreight operations at the country level.
- You will use available tools to proactively monitor and improve performance.
- You will conduct regular dialogues with the team to review quality and performance levels against targets.
