- Real-Time Workshop Interpretation: Provide fluent, accurate, and immediate oral translation (Chinese to French/English and vice-versa) inside the workshop and on field-service sites during repairs, diagnostics, and assemblies.
- Skills Transfer Facilitation: Assist the Chinese Senior Technician in conducting practical, hands-on training sessions for local technical staff, ensuring that complex engineering concepts, mechanical systems, and safety protocols are completely understood.
- Technical Documentation Translation: Translate machinery manuals, electrical/hydraulic schematics, diagnostic trouble codes, and technical bulletins from Chinese into clear French or English for local reference.
- Diagnostic Liaison: Accurately convey operational symptoms described by local mechanics or clients to the Chinese Senior Technician, and accurately relay back the exact step-by-step technical solutions.
- Job Card & Report Management: Open, update, and track technical job cards for all incoming repairs and maintenance operations. Translate and compile technical intervention reports for management review.
- Spare Parts Coordination: Act as an administrative interface to identify parts numbers from Chinese manufacturing catalogs and coordinate with the parts store to ensure the correct components are requisitioned for the technical team.
- Technical Staff Attendance & Logistics: Track the attendance, overtime, and field-trip mission leaves of the technical staff, feeding accurate data directly to the HR and Administration office.
- Customer Care Support: Assist in receiving customer service requests, logging machinery maintenance schedules, and following up on client satisfaction post-intervention.
- Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree (Bac+3) in Chinese Language Studies, Translation, Business Administration, or an equivalent technical field with a certified high level of Chinese proficiency.
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience working as a translator, preferably within a technical, engineering, automotive, BTP, or industrial environment.
- Linguistic Mastery: Perfect fluency in spoken and written Chinese (Mandarin), French, and a strong working command of English.
- Technical Aptitude: A strong willingness and curiosity to learn machinery, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical terms. (Prior knowledge of heavy machinery or vehicle parts terminology is a massive advantage).
- Administrative Rigor: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) with an ability to keep structured, highly accurate paper and digital logs.
- Interpersonal Excellence: Outstanding cross-cultural communication skills, patience, high integrity, and the ability to work under pressure in a bustling workshop environment.
