- Has overall responsibility over the Finance and administration function for the UCB Centres
- In charge of Route Settlement, Cash Office management and daily banking's, Debtors management and General Administration of the Centres; and Budgeting and Cost management of the Logistics Department
- Ensure that Internal Control Systems are in place and working effectively
- Assist in the budgeting process, in particular implementation and review
- Preparation and submission of sectional reports in the form and at the time specified
- To develop and maintain internal control systems to ensure zero stock losses, Zero bad credit and minimize leakages risks.
- Following up on variances and ensuring accountability and where necessary recommend appropriate action to be taken.
- Meeting critical reporting deadlines on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- Ensuring that security of the department is adequate at all times.
- Ensuring that assets under his/her charge are properly utilised, controlled and maintained.
- Ensure accuracy of records and reports
- Adherence to QMS or other improvement Strategies
- A Bachelor of Accounting/Commerce Degree/ACCA/CIS/CIMA, CA or equivalent;
- 3 years' experience in a similar role;
- Must possess superior interpersonal, organisational and communication skills in order to interact effectively at all levels;
- Must be an above average thinker with excellent networking skills;
- Must possess high conceptual skills as well an innovative, analytical and enquiring mind;
- Must have the ability to display high effectiveness and personal impact;
- Must demonstrate high organising ability, good negotiation skills and bias for action;
- Must have demonstrable proficiency in accounting, budgeting and costing;
- Must have the ability to see tasks/projects through;
- Must have the ability to meet/beat deadlines and targets;
- Must have the ability to supervise and review systems;
- Must have demonstrable ability to work with accounting packages.
