How you’ll contribute to QIC (Your mission/responsibilities/Activities)

• Ability to write Java code using JavaFX components for desktop app development, Java Web Start and Java JAR file creation with main class.
• Develop well-crafted software using test driven development with an eye towards automated unit and functional integration testing.
• Design and implement end-to-end features including frontend, API’s, and micro services.
• Design and construct REST API and document them.
• Writing performant, Javascript from scratch, working with JS libraries, etc
• Participating in code reviews, giving clear, actionable feedback to others, and merging code for releases
• Collaborating with our product team to determine and create detailed functionality requirements documents
• Thorough testing against the documented requirements to ensure accuracy and cross-platform usability
• Ability to dive into new technologies and solving problems with minimal technical direction
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles such as algorithms and data structures.

• Bachelor degree minimum in computer science/engineering or related discipline
• Proven experience building highly scalable and integrated software applications.
• Have a solid understanding of general security, development workflows, best practices and standards.
• Languages: French / English (Reading, Writing and Speaking)

Technical skills

• Experience in Design / documentation: UML + ER diagrams, Swagger
• Have a good mastery of distributed version control system: Git and GitHub
• Experience developing and deploying serverless applications and services in the cloud.
• Experienced in Continuous Integration and Continuous delivery in an Agile environment.
• Experience developing well-crafted software using test driven development.
• Experience designing and deploying secure RESTful API’s
• Proficiency in at least one server-code technology (JavaFx, PHP, NodeJS, .NET)
• Have good knowledge on at least one DBMS technology: MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, SQLServer
• Experience designing single page applications with modern frontend frameworks. Angular, React, Laravel, Vue.js, AngularJS/jQuery, ASP.NET,
• Have knowledge of basic design principles including UI & UX design, prototypes, scalability etc.
