- Deliver agreed targets on service agreements with businesses/markets
- Deliver best quality service through establishment of import/export documentation in full and time.
- Coordinate’s execution of the Imports / Exports related activities (customs clearance, road & sea international transportation booking, etc) be it outsourced or inhouse.
- Review and always maintain General Shipping Instructions with Markets.
- Agree on service requirements with businesses and establish targets.
- Put in place a structured continuous improvement approach based on the application of tools and the implementation of Best Practices
- Drive cost saving initiatives to improve the performance and costs on operation
- Focus on Performance improvement making sure that Key Performance Indicators are monitored on a periodical basis and taking the necessary actions when deviation or issues are detected.
- Ensure the documentation compliance is attended on accuracy and timing of delivery/receipt to the receiving markets or from producing markets and/or 3rd party suppliers
- Organize tenders supported by Procurement to select the most suitable service providers (Freight Forwarders, Have in place a structure that allows having ongoing control on changes in Harmonized Tariff Systems, Trade agreements & Subsidies. transport companies, etc.)
- Maintain knowledge, proficiency level, training and motivating the Import/Export team, developing a high performing team culture.
- Ensure the service provider receives appropriate training to run the outsourced activities according to Nestle principles.
- Establish key alliances and engage external stakeholders.
- Should have minimum of 3 years of import and export experience.
- Have a good knowledge of the rules and regulations for customs as well as physical specificity in the CEMAC zone and beyond.
- Be able to demonstrate leadership skills and can cope with the Nestle Leadership framework.
- Should have the ability to manage 3rd party stakeholders such as, the customs authority, physical logistics companies and transit agents)
- Good Analytical skills and knowledge on new technologies is a plus.
- A minimum of a master’s degree
