About the role
We’re looking for a creative and motivated Content Creator based in Douala to join our team on a permanent basis. You should already know the basics of editing content on a smartphone. We’ll provide professional training (photographer and videographer) to help you improve, but we need someone who has the basics and is committed to learning and working with us for at least one year.
- Produce daily/weekly short-form videos and photos for social media (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube Shorts).
- Shoot, edit, and deliver polished content using a smartphone (apps such as InShot, CapCut, VN, Adobe Rush, etc.).
- Assist professional photographer/videographer on shoots and learn technical skills on the job.
- Manage simple content planning and a basic content calendar.
- Optimize content for platform-specific formats and captions.
- Archive and organize raw footage and final assets.
- Required skills & experience
- Based in (or willing to commute to) Douala.
- Basic phone filming and editing skills — you can record decent footage and perform basic edits on a mobile app.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and common content formats (Reels, Shorts, Stories).
- Good visual sense: framing, lighting, basic composition.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to at least 12 months.
- Good communication skills in English and/or French.
- Own a smartphone with a working camera (preferably with at least 1080p capability).
- Willingness to learn and be trained by professionals.
- A small portfolio or links to previous short videos/photos.
- Experience assisting on shoots or basic knowledge of lighting and audio.
- Basic graphic/text overlay skills for mobile editing apps.
