- Lead and manage a team of up to two commercial sales professionals, providing coaching, guidance, and support to help achieve team and individual targets.
- Set clear objectives for the team, monitor progress, and ensure alignment with company goals.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance sales culture focused on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Develop and implement sales strategies and action plans to drive new business opportunities and increase the adoption of our payment services in the Banks and Microfinance segments.
- Identify and target key decision-makers at corporate and financial institutions, building long-term relationships and maximizing revenue potential.
- Develop a deep understanding of client needs, proposing customized solutions that align with their business objectives and operational needs.
- Lead the negotiation and closure of large, strategic deals with banks and microfinance institutions.
- Manage the sales cycle from initial prospecting and lead generation to closing deals, ensuring timely and successful contract execution.
- Work closely with the Strategic Projects, legal and finance teams to facilitate the drafting and signing of contracts.
- Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with senior stakeholders in Banks and Microfinance institutions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for strategic clients, ensuring exceptional service and addressing any issues that arise post-sale.
- Collaborate with OPS and Marketing teams to ensure seamless implementation and post-sale support for clients.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes affecting the payments and financial services industry.
- Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on sales performance, market conditions, and client feedback.
- Continuously analyze the effectiveness of sales strategies and adjust approaches to improve success rates.
- Own and achieve sales targets for the Banks and Microfinance segment, with a focus on scaling contract signings and growing revenue.
- Track performance and results, ensuring that sales KPIs are met or exceeded.
- 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, with a proven track record of success in selling fintech/payment solutions or similar products/services to banks, microfinance institutions, and large corporates.
- Experience leading and managing a sales team, including coaching and driving performance.
- Strong understanding of corporate needs related to digital payment services
- Strong understanding of the payment services and fintech landscape, especially within the banking and microfinance sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to sell complex, high-value solutions and manage long sales cycles.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to engage C-level executives and decision-makers.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and driven to achieve ambitious sales targets.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a small team.
- High level of strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution ability.
